Converter


Overview

A Converter is a person or company that buys gray goods; arranges for the dyeing and finishing of the fabric (i.e. the bleaching, mercerizing, dyeing, printing, etc) and sells the fabric to cutters, wholesalers, retailers, etc. Converters may also arrange to have the entire process performed down to the finished product. Gray goods refer to knitted or woven fabric in an unfinished and un-dyed state.
