CORDURA® Brand "Revolutionizes" Responsible Garment Design at Redress Raleigh's 2017 Fashion Show (8/15/17)
INVISTA's CORDURA® brand proudly announces its participation as the "Revolutionize" sponsor of the 2017 Redress Raleigh Fashion Show, marking another milestone in its "50 for 50" anniversary year initiative in 2017. This latest sponsorship reflects CORDURA® brand's commitment to nurturing independent designers, responsible manufacturing, and durable designs of tomorrow.
Redress is an inclusive community of designers and consumers dedicated to sustainably produced apparel and increasing awareness around what it means to be a conscious customer. Its annual fashion show highlights the latest in responsibly-produced apparel in the southeastern U.S.
"We are delighted to have the opportunity to bring CORDURA® fabrics to our designers through this sponsorship," said Beth Stewart, executive director of Redress Raleigh. "Sustainability and durability go hand-in-hand, so this was a perfect opportunity to empower designers to create eco-conscious, long-lasting fashion."
CORDURA® brand will supply fabric for the designers and provide inspirational trend insights for this year's Redress Raleigh x CORDURA® brand capsule collection, a collaboration that highlights the critical importance of personalization, pushing the boundaries of cutting-edge innovation and the role of 360-degree durability in sustainability.
"Redress Raleigh's mission aligns perfectly with our dedication to sustainability through long-lasting products that allow consumers to Live DurableTM," said Cindy McNaull, global CORDURA® brand and marketing director. "We are thrilled to celebrate the unique creations of each designer and their commitment to social responsibility through the integration of innovative, eco-efficient, and built to last fabric solutions."
Linda Keppinger, CEO and founder of MaterialsMove, will appear on behalf of CORDURA® brand to brief attendees on the latest fabrics and trends. Keppinger will also moderate the Fashion Show event, where designers will unveil their final designs inspired by trends shaping the industry.
"Collaborating with the CORDURA® brand to share trend insights shaping our industry provides a great opportunity to educate designers and broaden their visions for the future of design," said Keppinger. "From my experience, significant change follows collaboration in the industry - specifically between designers and suppliers. Redress Raleigh celebrates this collaboration and I'm honored to help showcase the creativity of these forward-thinking designers."
Redress Raleigh will take place on August 18, 2017 at the Contemporary Art Museum (CAM) Raleigh, 409 W. Martin St., Raleigh on August 18 with a cocktail hour at 7 p.m. followed by the fashion show at 8 p.m. To learn more about the event or to purchase tickets, visit www.redressraleigh.org.
