Together & Better Than Ever
Post Show Summary
By Kathlyn Swantko
With over 350 exhibitors from 30 countries and thousands of attendees representing the entire textile industry supply chain, there was renewed excitement at the co-located 2023 Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas event in Atlanta, Georgia, May 10th-12th. As the textile/sewn products industry begins to make a major comeback in the U.S. domestic market, the U.S textile industry is becoming more transformed by recent textile technologies and innovations. Companies are considering highly-automated and environmentally-conscious production facilities, particularly in the Southeast where the infrastructure for the industry’s success already exists.
“Made in the USA” Textiles/apparel manufacturing is expanding, particularly in the high-tech driven categories, such as medical textiles, protective clothing, specialty/industrial fabrics, and non-woven specialty materials. Many of these products are being viewed as the new “growth-engine” for U.S. textile resurgence and exports.
“The industry is rapidly evolving, and we’re excited for attendees and exhibitors of Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas to have a front row seat to the action,” adds Kristy Meade, Vice President of Technical Textiles & Technology Shows for Messe Frankfurt, Inc. “Our team is dedicated to ensuring that this year’s show offers meaningful exhibitor and attendee experiences through a host of new show features. We continue to track new trends, technologies, and developments across the industry and bring them to the forefront through comprehensive education and programs.”
Techtextil North America is Incorporated with ATME-I.
Texprocess Americas is Co-produced by SPESA.
