With over 350 exhibitors from 30 countries and thousands of attendees representing the entire textile industry supply chain, there was renewed excitement at the co-located 2023 Techtextil North America and Texprocess Americas event in Atlanta, Georgia, May 10th-12th.  As the textile/sewn products industry begins to make a major comeback in the U.S. domestic market, the U.S textile industry is becoming more transformed by recent textile technologies and innovations.  Companies are considering highly-automated and environmentally-conscious production facilities, particularly in the Southeast where the infrastructure for the industry’s success already exists.

“Made in the USA” Textiles/apparel manufacturing is expanding, particularly in the high-tech driven categories, such as medical textiles, protective clothing, specialty/industrial fabrics, and non-woven specialty materials. Many of these products are being viewed as the new “growth-engine” for U.S. textile resurgence and exports.
